I'LL GIVE YOU THE SUN - JANDY NELSON
I'll Give You The Sun is one of the best books I've ever read. It heightens your emotions as you read about friendship, love and how the universe works in fascinating ways. It makes you believe in soulmates and how the whole world works to bring two people together. The characters are amazingly alluring. It truly is a great read if you're in the mood for something great. It will stay with you and make you all teary and lively all at the same time. Each chapter will leave you wondering what comes next and you'll do your best to read fast. But you also won't want to finish it. When I think about this book, I see yellow and the sun. The title is fitting then isn't it?
One read through it and it becomes one of those books you never stop reading and loving. I highly recommend this if you just want to lay back and enjoy the words written.

Also, can we talk about how cute the oranges look??? So mushy.
HOLD BACK THE STARS - KATIE KHAN
Hold Back The Stars is a nice read. I love the scenarios in this one. It's not that good and not that bad either. But it's definitely something you want to read. It makes you wonder how it all ends. What they do to survive and do they succeed in surviving? Even if the possible scenarios were given to us I was still not content with the ending. Maybe it's because I'm not big on romance eek. I also didn't like how Max felt like he needed to protect her. My feminist mind was not sold on that one. But eh good for the characters right? They chose their ending themselves 🙆♂️
Have you read this book? What did you think of it?
EVERYDAY - DAVID LEVITHAN
I watched the trailer of this movie and I was moved. It looked different. Then I found out that it's based on a book and I was like WHAT. It's always a joy to find out that the movie you are looking forward to watch is based on a book. It gives you more details the movie often leaves out.
I can't describe how well written this book is. The overall story is different and fun to read but it's the little quotes and paragraphs that the readers relate to that make us actually love a book. This book is full of them. There are a lot of quotes and words in this book that I had to close my eyes for. To just take it all in. I haven't read it's sequel yet but I'm planning to.
Have you ever watched a movie and found out it has a book? Which movie was it?
SIX OF CROWS - LEIGH BARDUGO
It looks like I'm sacrificing this book for the soul stone. Which I can by the way because this book is my heart and soul and I love it very much.
I don't usually read books written from the third person's POV because I often feel like writing it that way leaves out the details and intensity. But while reading this book, I had no feeling that the explanation wasn't good enough. There was nothing left out. Everything was told as it should be without ever over-explaining it. The plot is exciting. The characters pull you in. You feel as though you are moving with the characters. Reading this book felt like I was watching the most amazing heist movie ever made.
One more thing I appreciate is that there is diversity. And reading a book set in a fantasy world, you'll never expect that romance isn't a part of it. That it isn't what the book revolves around.
There is more that I'd like to talk about but I'm it saving it for later when I review Crooked Kingdom. And also, before I forget: Amazing humor. Seriously.

This movie.
This exact movie.
I cannot even begin to describe how perfect it is.
One thing I don't do is calling something perfect. And another thing that I've always wanted to but didn't is say that "this movie is better than the book." Mainly because no movie ever based on a book has ever been perfect. Directors leave things out and authors compromise. And readers? They suffer. Because when we read a book so brilliant we expect the movie to be brilliant too but it never is. Important details are neglected and they screw up the cast. When you write a book and readers fall in love with it it's your job to provide them with a movie that will make their minds blow away. And Nicola Yoon is undoubtedly the first author to do that. And note that I've read a lot of books. Only The Sun Is Also A Star met my expectations. (And one other movie I'll discuss later). So as of today folks, the painful tradition of not having a movie as amazing as the book has officially come to an end. I moved with the characters. I laughed when they did. Sobbed when they did. And loved when they fell in love with each other. I also kept sobbing during the whole movie just because how perfect it was. I couldn't believe that a movie this perfect can be made. Specially when it's based on a book that I adore so much. The acting of the characters was phenomenal. The imagery couldn't have been more suitable and the songs were just heart wrenching but went so well on whatever scene was playing. The ending was better than the book. And that's a phrase that doesn't come around often.
And about the book. Poignant and blissful at the same time. I specially loved the poems. The one that I liked the most was about broken hearts. "Hearts don't break. They just stop working. An old watch from another time with no parts to fix it." Like how can you not love this book after reading this? It's just not humanly possible.
Perfect depiction of a perfect book. Thank you @nicolayoon for giving us this. You don't know how rare it is.
